Groups from all over the UK are
enchanted by the beauty of the mighty
River Thames on our unique after-
dark Christmas Cruises. A tangible
thrill ripples through the boat as we
pass beneath a floodlit Tower Bridge
and voices join in with the Christmas
carols we play as folk come aboard
and step ashore from our privately
chartered and warm cruiser.
Choose from two options. Cruising into
Christmas combines the cruise with a
Christmas Lights & Sights coach tour.
The Christmas Cruise & the Cable Car
pairs the 90-minute after-dark Thames
cruise with either a daylight or an
after-dark 360° return flight on the new
Thames Cable Car.
The Cruise
Inside the London Rose it’s warm and
cosy with terrific views. The fully
licensed bar that also sells hot drinks is
open throughout the 90-minute cruise.
There are proper flush loos and plenty
of seating in the warm and lots of room
to move around both inside and out
on the huge open deck. Your folk will
really enjoy the commentary, a mix of
historical information and Cockney
Waterman’s humour that brings groups
back year after year. We have worked
with the Campion family for over twenty
years. They have worked on the river for
generations and are one of the very few
London families who still operate their
own boats on the Thames.
You’ll see historic Greenwich where
a green laser beam marking the Prime
Meridian is projected from the Old Royal
Observatory. The London Docklands are
breathtaking at night, a blaze of colour
and light, our own mini-Manhattan.
We pass the Tower of London, HMS
Belfast and sail beneath eight bridges - it
is wonderful to sail beneath a flood lit
Tower Bridge, quite stunning! In the City
of London you’ll see the Monument and
St Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe
Theatre and the massive Tate Modern art
gallery. Enjoy the floodlit warm golden
tones of the Palace of Westminster
where on many evenings in the run up to
Christmas you’ll see our hard working
MPs “networking” in the Commons bar
on the riverside!
Cruising into Christmas
Come to the Old Millennium Dome,
now called The O
2
, no later than 3.30pm
ready to sail at 4.00pm. The bar is open
as soon as you step on board, selling hot
drinks and bar drinks, and it is dark by
the time we sail past historic Greenwich
and on through the Docklands and City
of London to the West End. The Blue
Badge Guide will be waiting for you on
Waterloo Pier, beneath the London Eye,
ready to walk back to your coach that
will be waiting just a few minutes away
and begin an entertaining guided tour
of the Christmas Lights & Sights
in the West End and the City of London.
Finish with an optional visit to the
Somerset House Ice Rink and head home
at 7.30pm. Also available starting at
Somerset House for refreshments
at 3.00pm followed by the coach tour
and finally the cruise from Waterloo Pier
at 5.30pm, heading home from The O
2
at 7.15pm.

Daylight Option.
Arrive at The O
2
by 2.30pm to allow time for loos and
optional refreshments then take the
return 360° cable car flight before
boarding our warm and cosy cruiser with
a fully licensed bar to sail at 4.00pm. Sit
back and relax as dark falls and enjoy
our unique ten-mile Thames cruise
after dark with a traditional Cockney

Dark Option.
Arrive at the South Bank
(by the London Eye) at 4.30pm for time
to spend a penny and get a cup of tea
before boarding the Christmas Cruise at
Waterloo Pier at 5.30pm. Arrive at The
O
2
at 7.00pm for the short walk to board
the cable car for a return flight. Head
home by 8.00pm.
For both light and dark options your
group will be supervised and “ticketed”
by a City & Village Tours team member
at the cable car and at each end of
your cruise.
