It’s not all about the Christmas lights
anymore. London is quite simply one
of the most beautiful capital cities
in the world and at night even more
so. London is a dandy at night - few
cities can rival our vibrant history,
exhilarating stories and anecdotes.
We are blessed with beautiful
buildings and a handsome old river
criss-crossed by bridges. This is a
magical evening and a chance to
catch up with everything that is new
from the mighty Shard that comes
to earth in a skinny street, wedged
up against the oldest railway viaduct
in the world, to the new One Hyde
Park development where a one bed
flat starts at £6.5 million and the
corner shop is Rolex! You will see
London dressed for Christmas but
you’ll also see London dressed to kill
– beautifully illuminated buildings old
and new, classical and challenging.
Floodlit London is stunning.
Come and meet the guide to start at the
very attractive Somerset House Ice Rink
where you can buy hot drinks while
London is still at work and it’s nice
and quiet. Then begin your journey as
London makes its way home. The rush
hour is a joy to watch when you’re not
struggling to get home! See the human
tide flood across London Bridge and
enjoy moving around London by coach
slowly enough to take in lots of details in
the company of a compelling tour guide.
The evening includes a tasty fish & chip,
chicken & chip or vegetarian supper at
£17.95 per person. So you don’t have to
break the bank for a very sociable night
out for your group this Christmas.
Start at a time to suit you between
3.00pm and 7.30pm. By late November
it’s dark by 4.30pm, by the beginning
of December it’s dark by 4.00pm and the
tour, including time at the beginning at
Somerset House and your pub supper at
the end, lasts four hours. So you could
come to Somerset House at 3.00pm
as dusk falls, begin the coach tour after
sunset and be heading home happy
by 7.00pm. It doesn’t have to be a
late night.

London we show you all the major sights
in both the City and the West End, taking
you off the beaten track to see lesser-
known sights and bringing you up to date
with new things. We’ll show you
the Christmas lights in the shopping
streets and, as ever, our guides will
have made a detailed survey of all the
windows to pick out the very best for
your tour. But remember it’s not just
about the shopping streets and the
Christmas lights any more as many
buildings in London are now beautifully
illuminated at night as are the Thames
bridges.
