Buckingham Place & The Strand Palace Carvery
Treat yourselves to a slap up carvery at the swish Art
Deco Strand Palace Hotel and enjoy a visit to the
Summer Opening of the Buckingham Palace State
Apartments. Everything is arranged for you and
although there is no tour guide we supply you with
detailed instructions (including a photo-crib sheet!)
so that you know exactly what you are looking for on
the day. It will be like a reccie on a page, saving you
the footwork and enabling you to lead your members
on a seamless day out.
The Strand Palace Hotel Carvery
This Edwardian hotel was given an Art Deco
overhaul in 1920s when shareholders included
J Lyons & Co. Your coach can drop you right outside
the hotel for the short walk into the ground floor
restaurant of one of London’s original carvery
restaurants.
The carvery restaurant is lovely and swish with polite
and attentive staff and the food – my goodness the
food! Ultra-tender Surrey farm beef and Grove Smith
English Rose
turkey aren’t rationed here – have as
much as you want and pop back up for seconds
(or thirds…). The roast potatoes are accomplished
and there’s the wide choice of vegetables and all the
lush gravies and variety of sauces that you would
expect. The package is unlimited carvery and dessert
of Chocolate Bavarois (a layered chocolate mousse),
Vanilla Cheesecake or for the lighter appetite Fruit
Salad with Cream. You give us the dessert orders
supply one week before your trip.
Coffee is not included. There’s no service charge
included so individuals are welcome to tip or not
on the day as they please. The hotel asks guests not
to wear jeans or trainers.
You can eat before the Buckingham Palace visit if
you want but we'd suggest enjoying the Buckingham
Palace visit first and then lunch together.
Our suggested timings are:
11.00am Visit Buckingham Palace,
1.00pm short coach transfer to the hotel
1.30pm two course carvery lunch
3.30pm head home.

package costs £34.00pp for seniors and this price
is based on a minimum of 25 people. It is available
daily from 1 August to 27 September throughout
the Summer Opening of the State Apartments at
Buckingham Palace.

You don't have to pay a deposit, we’ll get you
booked in and send you an invoice payable 7 days
before the visit. We can also send you a poster if you
want one. On receipt of payment we send you all the
vouchers you’ll need plus an organisers crib sheet
covering everything you need to know including
photographs of what you are looking for on the day -
its like a reccie on a page saving you the footwork
and enabling you to lead your group on a seamless
day out. And if anyone drops out on the day?
We can refund up to five places at the full price
less a £3.00 admin fee from the total amount of
the refund i.e not from every refunded place.
And if its too late for 2015? These packages
will be available for August and September 2016
with new prices available from the autumn and
booking open from December 2015.
