Royal Greenwich
Cable Car Options
Now is the time to visit Royal Greenwich in the
wake of its Olympic glory, to visit the newly
restored Cutty Sark and to round off the day
with a 360° return flight on the cable car.
Royal Greenwich Including a Walk in The Park
Meet the guide at 10.30am at the Blackheath Gate of
Greenwich Park - the starting point for the London Marathon.
After time to buy morning refreshments you’ll enjoy
the
iconic view over the river, Greenwich and London that wowed
four billion people worldwide during the Olympic Games.
We’ll walk down through Greenwich Park and take a tour
of
the compact Queen’s House and a peek inside the National
Maritime Museum to see a beautiful ceremonial barge of
the sort immortalized in the Canaletto painting that inspired
Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant. There’s a café
in the museum for lunch or you can picnic in the park or visit
a nearby pub or café.
After lunch we visit the Cutty Sark to see what £50 million of
restoration buys you. Lifts take you between decks and you
can also go below the ship to fully appreciate the magnificent
shape of the world’s last clipper.
Next a short coach transfer ready for the final treat of the day
- a return 360° flight on the new Emirates Air Line Thames
Cable Car from The O
2
to the Royal Docks and back again
without getting off. It’s gentle gliding in glass gondolas that
seat up to 10 people and it really is great fun. There will be
time to buy refreshments before heading home at 5.00pm.

We had the most fantastic day yesterday - Cutty Sark
and Cable Car. If any of your groups miss this they
have failed. The weather behaved itself, a little rain but
didn’t dampen anything. Martin? What can I say he was
excellent, kind and caring.  His knowledge second to
none. Any Group who has Martin is in for a treat and a
successful Outing.
