Westminster Abbey
has been the setting
for sixteen royal weddings, most recently that of
the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. This year
some seventy groups enjoyed our Coronations &
Celebrations tour tracing the life story of HM
Queen Elizabeth II and enjoying an intimate tour
of the Abbey with two Blue Badge guides per
coach party as required by the Abbey’s Dean.
A three-part BBC 2 documentary starting at
9.00pm on Friday 7 December 2012 (and repeated
Monday 10 December 11.20pm) takes a look at the
inner workings of the ‘Nation’s Church’ recording
the daily rhythms of the liturgical calendar and
revealing how just 15 full time staff maintain this
ancient and beautiful building.
Coronations & Celebrations is not in the new
brochure but is still available throughout 2013 at
£25.00 per person until the end of March 2013
and £26.00 per person from 1 April.

The British Museum’s
Pompeii
exhibition runs from 28 March to 27 September
2013 and all the predictions are that this will be
a sell-out. If you are thinking of taking your group
to see the Pompeii exhibition don’t leave it too
long. We hear that it’s now sold out for many dates.
If you would like to come and do it with us we
