On this day out you start with morning refreshments
included in the tour fee in the heart of Oxford, enjoy
a morning walking tour on which you’ll see a lot
without walking too far and return to the pub for a
fish & chip lunch together also included in the tour
fee. In the afternoon we drive out into the country to
Woodstock which sits beside Blenheim Palace and
if you want we can stop off along the way to see
Winston’s Churchill’s final resting place in a country
churchyard.
Arrive in Oxford at
10am
for morning coffee and bis-
cuits in the oldest pub in the city after which we are
going to give your folk a real flavour of Oxford with-
out straying too far from the pub. Indeed from the pub
you can see Wren’s Sheldonian Theatre. In the
courtyard of the ancient Bodleian Library we tell the
story of Oxford as a centre of academic study. Just
beyond is Brasenose College which, quite literally
took its name from an old door knocker in the shape
of a brazen nose! We step inside the college to see
what life is like for the students here. Tony Blair,
David Cameron, Robert Runcie and Michael Palin
were all students here. We’ll also pop inside the
university Church before retracing our steps, which
you may be delighted to here are not vast in number
to the pub for a slap up lunch of fish & chips.

the church - well worth a look. Time to buy tea
