We had a stand at six shows between January
and the beginning of March starting with the
biggest – Excursions at Alexandra Palace plus
the Essex Tourism & Leisure Show at Maldon,
the Sussex Top Attractions fair at Saint Hill
Manor in the Ashdown Forest and three shows
organised by Tourism South East at Bletchley
Park, Chatham Historic Dockyard and Arundel
Castle.
At each show we invited entries into our prize
draw in return for a free subscription to our
monthly online magazine
The Kettle
.
The main prize is the Diamond Jubilee
Hamper – this £200 hamper contains nostalgic
British products from Spam to Babycham via
Tiptree jams, English Honey, Battenburg cake,
plus some flag & bunting ephemera including
a teapot , tea cosy and four mugs, tea-towels,
a kitchen pinboard. Oh and a bottle of
Harvey’s Bristol Cream. For the runners up
(one per show\ there’s a commemorative
Royal Mint Diamond Jubilee, London 2012 or
Dickens 200 coin.
Congratulations to the winners and a big
thanks to all who stopped to talk to us at the
various shows. It is such a fun opportunity for
we office bound folk to meet some of our
regular customers and we hope that some
of the organisers we met for the first time will
take the plunge and give one of our trips a go.
