This is the first of the three Tourism South East
Shows that we are attending this year and it’s .
being held at Bletchley Park so in addition to
picking up some ideas for day trips you also get
to visit this fascinating attraction where Alan
Turing and the WW2 Code Breakers were able
to decode the Enigma machine and shorten the
war by two years - and it’s all free on the day of
the show.

on the day. Once the free parking fills there is a
charge for the overflow car park at the railway
station so aim to arrive early.
Tourism & Leisure Show - Colchester, Essex
Thursday 23

Feb: 10.00am – 3.30pm
This big show is held at the Crowne Plaza
Colchester Five Lakes near Maldon in Essex,
this one takes place on a Thursday. Just turn up
on the day or to pre-register click
There’s plenty of free parking and a free
courtesy bus operating every hour from Witham
Railway Station (50 minutes from London
Liverpool Street).
If you’re coming up from Kent Mann’s Coaches
are providing a courtesy coach, call them on
01474 358 194 for more information. Kirby’s
who exhibit at the show are also running a free
coach from their depot in Rayleigh, Essex;

The Historic Dockyard Chatham, Kent

The Historic Dockyard Chatham is one of
Britain’s leading maritime heritage destinations.
The stunning 80 acre site presents over 400
years of history through the largest
concentration of iconic buildings, historic ships,
museum galleries and attractions in the UK.
You can visit the show stands and book your
choice of two Dockyard tours to make a real day
out of it .
Parking is free at this venue. You are welcome to
arrive and register on the day or to register in
advance and book your tour click
Days Out Fair - Saint Hill Manor, W Sussex
Friday 24

February: 10.00am – 1.00pm
This show is hosted in the grounds of Saint Hill
Manor, which we visit on our Ashdown Forest
Explorer day. This beautiful 18
th
century country
house has been owned by a succession of
distinguished people, including the Maharajah of
Jaipur, an American Ambassador’s wife and
acclaimed science fiction writer and founder of
Scientology L. Ron Hubbard. There are free
tours of the newly refurbished manor throughout
the day. Come early for the best parking closest
to the Manor House and the group travel show.

Arundel Castle, West Sussex

March 2012: 10.00am – 2.00pm
The ancient Castle and stately home of the
Dukes of Norfolk distilling nearly 1,000 years of
history and offering magnificent views across the
South Downs and River Arun. Fine furniture and
works of art are shown in sumptuously furnished
rooms. With the Collector Earl’s Garden, the 14th
century Fitzalan Chapel, the collection of arms
& armour, personal possessions of Mary Queen
of Scots and a varied programme of Special
Events there promises to be a lot worth seeing
on a day out at this show – our stand included!
