Later Start Days
If starting a tour at 10-30am doesn’t suit
you for whatever reason you can book a trip
as a
Later Start Option.
Instead of arriving at 10-30am you can meet
the tour guide at 11-45am/noon and start
your day out with an early lunch.
The
Later Start Option
is available
across the board, including our Together Tour
itineraries where, instead of starting with
morning coffee as on a standard timing day,
you arrive for an early lunch at midday and a
cup of coffee is still included in the tour fee but
is served after your lunch.
Later Start Days cover all the core itinerary
points as described in the tour description.
The order of events may differ but not the tour
content and you will not head home much later
than on a standard timings tour. Usually it’s
a matter of heading for home about 30 minutes
later than an ordinary start day.
Please feel free to ask for a further explanation
of how a Later Start Option will work in regard to
a particular itinerary.
The London Cable Car Update
Over the first weekend in April the cable was
laid across the River Thames for the new
Cable Car (see the Cable Car article in the
February edition of
The Kettle
).
News seems to be filtering through that the
cable car linking two Olympic Venues, The 0
2
and Excel Exhibition Centre, may not be ready
in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.
It is already on the new tube maps and once
it is finished it will be a permanent part of the
London transport network.
With the London Mayoral race underway for
the election in May the Cable Car is already
becoming a hot election topic with former
London Mayor and Labour candidate for the
2012 election Ken Livingstone suggesting that
the Cable Car which has run massively over
budget ought to be known as The Johnson!
The Cable Car will be ready in time to feature
as an option for our Christmas Tours 2012.
