An ideal day out

The circular walk arrives back at the
pub for lunch included in the tour fee.
Over morning coffee your folk can
choose a hot or cold meal from the
menu to be ready for them.
Holland Park is the most romantic in London and
is surrounded by streets of beautiful houses as
clean, white and perfect as the icing on a wedding
cake. The park is formed from the gardens and
grounds of a Jacobean stately home. Rejected by
James I for being too draughty it later became the
centre of social and political intrigue at the time of
Lord Byron when a fatal duel was held here.
Only the ground floor survived the blitz and today
houses a youth hostel. The Japanese Garden is
a wonder to behold - come September or October
to enjoy the acers in their autumn colours.
There is a café in the park to buy tea before
heading home at 4-45pm.
Secret London
is available weekdays
throughout the year. It’s a good choice for an
autumn trip. The day includes a circular walking tour
from the pub after morning coffee and back for
lunch with chances to sit down on the way round.
As with all of our days the walking tour is designed
with older folk in mind. Morning coffee with biscuits
and a choice of hot or cold main course lunches are
included in the tour fee of £18.95 per person.
